10 Quick Crochet Patterns for the Holidays

1. Holiday APPLIQUÉS

In 2023, I designed and released the Advent Calendar crochet pattern. It includes a Tree Wall Hanging, 25 holiday themed appliqués, and a pouch. Now, this project is definitely not a quick pattern, but the appliqués are!

25 crochet Christmas appliques.

Each of the 25 holiday appliqués take approximately 5-10 minutes to make. There are cute Christmas characters like Santa and Mrs.Claus or holiday symbols like a snowflake, gift box, and bauble!

They all use minimal yarn and you can make which ever one or ones you’d like!

You can use them as gift toppers, tree ornaments, string them together to make a holiday garland, or even sew them onto projects like blankets, sweaters, or hats!

Click the buttons below for the free crochet patterns! These appliqués were split up into 2 blog posts, Part 1 includes the holiday characters and Part 2 includes the symbols.

2. Picot Tree Ornament

The Picot Tree Ornament makes for a great gift or a decoration for your own Christmas Tree!

It features a fun texture from the picot single crochet stitch (one of my faves) and it works up in 15-20 minutes!

This is a crochet cover you wrap around a round ornament and then seam the side. Easy and quick!

3. Country Cottage Minis

This is a 3 in 1! The Country Cottage Minis are the Mini Country Cottage Stocking, Mini Country Cottage Beanie, and Mini Country Cottage Mitten. These are 3 separate patterns but I grouped them together since they’re similar.

The Country Cottage Minis are mini versions of 3 of my Country Cottage patterns, the Country Cottage Stocking, Country Cottage Beanie, and Country Cottage Mittens.

These minis can be used as tree ornaments, gift toppers, and/or gift card holders!

They’re super cute, work up fast, and use minimal yarn. They take approximately 10-20 minutes to make one.

4. Country Cottage Cozy

The Country Cottage Cozy is a cover for you hot or cold cups! It even fits on cans! It’ll keep your hand protected from the heat or cold of the cup and it’s also super soft and comfortable for your hand too!

It features the same amazing texture as the other Country Cottage patterns and it works up fast! It can be made in about 5-10 minutes. This pattern includes 2 versions: a sleeve and a cozy with a bottom!

The Country Cottage Cozy is a great quick gift and stocking stuffer. Pair with a coffee shop gift card for the ultimate gift for any coffee or tea lovers!

Last year we gave my daughter’s teacher a Mini Country Cottage Stocking with a coffee shop gift card and a Country Cottage Cozy over a cute, coffee cup template from The Knotty Boss!

5. Picot Ice Cream Holder

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

Who doesn’t love ice cream? Well some people might but most people do, so what better gift than an ice cream pint holder!

The Picot Ice Cream Pint Holder keeps your hands warm when you’re enjoying a pint of ice cream!

It’s a cute and quick gift for anyone on your list who enjoys ice cream! It takes approximately 30 minutes to make one holder.

A fun bonus, is this holder also fits on a 4″ plant pot so you can also gift it to your plant loving friends as well!

6. Picot Headband

The Picot Headband is one of my most popular patterns for a reason!

3 crochet headbands.

I have gifted the Picot Headband so many times over the years and it’s always so well received! I also get asked by friends and family to make them a bunch to give as gifts too!

The pattern includes 8 sizes ranging from newborn to adult large so you can make them for so many people on your list! They’re also a best seller at holiday markets so stock up on a few sizes!

It works up quickly and features a beautiful bumpy texture and cute front closure. Depending on the size, it takes approximately 30-60 minutes to make one.

7. Skinny Picot Headband

Do you like the Picot Headband but want something even quicker to make? Try the Skinny Picot Headband!

The Skinny Picot Headband has a slimmer band and a bow tie front closure.

It works up even faster and uses less yarn so it’s a great option if you want to make a beautiful headband in under 10 minutes!

This headband pattern includes 8 sizes ranging from newborn to adult large.

8. Country Cottage Fingerless Gloves

The Country Cottage Fingerless Gloves are a beautiful, stylish, and comfortable!

2 crochet fingerless gloves on hands.

They’re the quickest version of a glove or mitten because there’s no fingertips to worry about! They’re a great accessory to keep your hands warm but still have your fingers free.

The Country Cottage Fingerless Gloves only take about 30-45 minutes to make and include 3 sizes!

9. Country Cottage Mittens

The Country Cottage Mittens take a bit longer than the fingerless gloves but they’re much warmer!

2 crochet mittens.

This pattern also includes 5 sizes ranging from toddler to adult large!

The Country Cottage Mittens feature the same amazing texture and stitches as the other Country Cottage patterns and this cozy mitten can be made for any age and gender!

It takes approximately 1-1.5 hours to make the Country Cottage Mittens.

10. Country Cottage Socks

Last but certainly not least we have the Country Cottage Socks!

2 crochet socks.

The Country Cottage Socks are the most time consuming pattern on this list, taking approximately 1.5-2 hours to make. But they make for such a great gift!

Who wouldn’t want to receive and wear cozy and unique socks! The Country Cottage Socks are more like a ‘cabin sock’ or ‘slipper sock’, not necessarily meant to wear with shoes, but more for indoors when you’re lounging around.

This pattern includes 8 sizes ranging from baby to adult large so it’s another great gift for anyone on your list, including all ages and genders!
