Toasty & Twisted Ear Warmer Crochet Pattern
The Toasty & Twisted Ear Warmer only uses one stitch! It is beginner friendly and features a twisted front. Instructions include 10 sizes to fit all heads!
(Updated 11/13/2020) Hi Friends! Today I am re-introducing the Toasty & Twisted Ear Warmer crochet pattern! I designed and shared this pattern in 2019, adding only the adult sizes for free here on my blog and on my YouTube channel. Both have been updated and now include ALL 10 SIZES for free!
This is the perfect beginner project as it only uses single crochet stitches! Plus you can easily adjust it to make it perfect for you! Add or subtract chains to make the circumference larger or smaller, and add or subtract rows to make it wider or more narrow! Construction of the Toasty & Twisted Ear Warmer is just as easy! We will make a rectangle, fold it in half so it’s double thick (& nice and warm!), give it a twist, and sew it up!
This pattern calls for light (3) weight yarn, BUT I did make one with medium (4) weight yarn and it worked out great! If you are going to use a different yarn size, be sure to check your gauge as you may need to go down a hook size, or adjust the chain length and row count to make it the right size!

● Pattern is worked in rows. Chain 1 and turn at the end of each row. The chain 1 does not count as a stitch.
● Instructions are for smallest size first then medium and large in parenthesis. Example: Row 1: Small (Medium, Large)
● The number in parenthesis at the end of each row represents the total number of stitches to be worked in that row. Example: (Small, Medium, Large)

(I used Maroon-Baby Bee Soft & Sleek DK, Grey-Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease, Orange- Baby Bee Sweet Delight)
● Hook: 5.50 mm (I)
● Yarn Needle
● Scissors

Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook. SC in each ST across (45, 48, 52, 55)
Rows 2-25 (25, 30, 30): CH 1 and turn. SC across (45, 48, 52, 55)
Move onto Closing & Finishing
Child/Teen Sizes (1-3 Years, 3-10 Years, Teen)
CH 60, 63, 67
Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook. SC in each ST across (59, 62, 66)
Rows 2-35 (35, 40): CH 1 and turn. SC across (59, 62, 66)
Move onto Closing & Finishing
Adult Sizes (Small, Medium, Large)
CH 70, 74, 78
Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook. SC in each ST across (69, 73, 77)
Rows 2-40 (40, 40): CH 1 and turn. SC across (69, 73, 77)

Closing & Finishing
Do not tie off. Fold band so that the long ends are together. Slip Stitch the long ends together, working 1 SL ST into the next ST and the CH behind it, repeat all the way across.
The band will now be like a long tube. Twist band once by folding over one side. Bring the short ends together. Using a Whip Stitch, sew the ends together. Tie off yarn and weave in ends.
