Inspiration
The Mini Country Cottage Beanie is the mini version of my original Country Cottage Beanie design! This beanie features the same great texture as the other Country Cottage designs, plus a ribbed brim. It can be topped with a pom pom and is perfect for Fall and Winter!
When I was trying to pick which patterns I should make minis of the beanie was an easy choice! It’s the most simple to make of the three Country Cottage Minis and a beanie is just the perfect winter accessory! You can make your mini in any colors and top it with a pom pom for extra fun!
Yarn
For my mini beanie I used Red Heart Super Saver but feel free to use any medium (4) weight yarn! One of the best parts of this pattern is that is uses a minimal amount of yarn so you can use any left over yarn you may have in your stash!
Some other yarn brands I think would work great for this pattern is: Lion Brand Yarn Color Theory, Lion Brand Yarn Basic Stitch, , Big Twist Value, I love This Yarn, or Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek.

Pom Pom
With Color B, wrap yarn 30 x around your index finger and middle finger. Cut yarn. Cut a strand of yarn 12”. Carefully place wrapped yarn on top of the 12” strand. As tightly as you can, tie and knot the 12” strand to secure the wrapped yarn. Cut the wrapped yarn in the center where it loops on both sides. Trim the pom pom to create a nice, round shape. Do not cut the ends from the 12” strand.
Using the ends from the 12” strand, tie the pom pom onto the top of the beanie. Secure with a few knots on the inside of the beanie and weave in ends.
Hanging Loop (optional)
Cut a strand of yarn 6”-10”. Pull through either on both sides of the pom pom or right behind it. Knot the ends together to create a loop.
