Yarn
I used Lion Brand Yarn Wool Ease Thick and Quick in the colors Cranberry and Fisherman for my Chunky Heart Ear Warmer.
I love using super bulky 6 weight yarn because it works up so fast! This ear warmer also uses less than 50 yards of yarn so you can make multiple ear warmers with one skein!

Some other yarns I think that would work great for this pattern are WeCrochet/KnitPicks Mighty Stitch, Loops and Threads Charisma, or Lion Brand Yarn Hometown.

Sizes
This pattern includes 5 sizes: Toddler, Child, Teen/Adult Small, Adult Medium, and Adult Large.
All the sizes are 4″ tall and the circumference of each is about 1″ small than the head circumference.
To ensure proper sizing, it’s always best to measure the head first.
See the size chart below for the yardage need for each size and color.
| Sizes | Circumference | Height | Yardage |
| Toddler (1-3 years) (19″) | 18″ | 4″ | Color A (Red) – 14 yards Color B (White) – 16 yards |
| Child (3-10 years) (20″) | 19″ | 4″ | Color A (Red) – 16 yards Color B (White) – 18 yards |

notes
- The CH 1 at the beginning of each round does not count as a ST. Join with a SL ST at the end of each round. Work the 1st ST of a new round into the same ST you joined to.
- The Round and ST numbers are in order by size from smallest to largest.
- Instructions between *asterisks* are to be repeated until the end of the round.
- Number in (parentheses) at the end of each round represent the number of stitches to be worked in each round.
- # ST means to work that # of STs into the same space/ST.
- Change colors on the final pull through of the last ST before the new color starts. You can keep both colors attached until the end since you will go back and forth between them.
