Design Inspiration
This pineapple is the 20th pattern for the Pregnancy Progress Project! A pineapple is approximately the same size as a baby at 33 weeks of pregnancy! Not only is this a cute addition for tracking your pregnancy, it would also make an adorable toy for your kids or pets!
Notes
● The main body is joined at the end of each round with a SL ST. The CH 1 or 2 at the beginning of each round does not count as a ST. The leaves are not joined at the end of each round. Work the first ST into the 1st ST of the previous round. Use a stitch marker to keep proper count.
● For rounds 10-23 of the main body, you will make shell stitches by working multiple (3-5) DC’s into one ST.
Example: SK 2, DC x5, SK 2 – the DC x5 will all be worked into the same ST.
● Repeat instructions given between asterisks (*) until the end of each round.
● The number in parenthesis at the end of each round states the total number of stitches for that round
● Final size is approximately 10” tall.
