Yarn
For these patterns you will need medium 4 weight yarn.
For my Be Mine Book Sleeves I used Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek in 4 colors.
Feel free to use as many or few colors as you’d like!
I used the colors Ivory (white), Burgundy (dark red), Mauve (medium pink), Blush (light pink).

For the e-Reader sleeve I used Ivory for Color A, Burgundy for Color B, Mauve for Color C, and Blush for Color D.

For my book sleeve, I used Burgundy for Color A, Ivory for Color B, Blush for Color C, and Mauve for Color D.
Again, feel free to use any colors in any order that you’d like!
Other yarns I think would work great for this project is Vanna’s Choice, Brava Worsted, and Red Heart Super Saver.
Sizes
This pattern includes 2 sizes for e-readers and books. You can also easily customize the sleeves to be any size!
The e-reader sleeve measures approximately 5.5″ x 7.5″.

I have a Kobo Clara and the sleeve fits perfectly! This size will also fit a Kindle 11th generation, Paperwhite, and Oasis 3. If you have a different sizes e-reader, then see the instruction below on how to customize the size!
The sleeve for the e-reader features one button and loop closure and the reader is inserted through the top vertically.
The book sleeve measures approximately 11″ x 7.5″. It features 2 button and loop closures and the books can be inserted on the top horizontally.

To customize the size
Width/Circumference
Work any odd number for the foundation chain. The length of the chain should be slightly shorter than the length you want the base of your sleeve to be, since it will increase a bit with Round 1.
Height
Repeat Rounds 4-6 until desired height is reached. You can also add more SC rounds at the end.
Size Chart and Yardage

Notes
- The CH 1 at the beginning of each round does not count as a ST. Join with a SL ST at the end of each round. Work the 1st ST of a new round into the same ST you joined to.
- Instructions between *asterisks* are to be repeated until the end of the round.
- Number in (parentheses) at the end of each round represent the number of stitches to be worked in each round.
- ST x# means to work 1 ST into that # of STs across. # ST means to work that # of STs into the same space/ST.
- Change colors on the final pull through of the last ST before the new color starts. Keep Color A attached at all times and carry it up each round. The other colors can also stay connected and carried up or you can cut and reattach as needed.
