Dotty Dishcloth Crochet Pattern
The Dotty Dishcloth features a beautiful, bumpy texture that’s easy to create! These dishcloths make for perfect gifts or make them for your own home! The bumpy crochet stitches help scrub and clean, making them suitable for the kitchen and dishes, cleaning the bathroom, or as face/wash cloths!
Crochet dishcloths are a classic project! They work up quickly, use minimal yarn, and are perfect for gifts! I am so excited to share this crochet pattern with you for the Dotty Dishcloth, as it uses one of my favorite crochet stitches, the picot single crochet!
The Dotty Dishcloth features a bumpy texture, thanks to the picot single crochet stitches. These bumps not only give the cloth a fun look, they also help with cleaning and scrubbing! Though the name says “dishcloth”, these crochet cloths can be used to clean anywhere and anything! Use as a dishcloth, wash cloth, or even face cloth!

Inspiration
I love crocheting dishcloths! They’re perfect for gifts, selling online or at markets, or making for your own home! My Farmhouse Dish Set is one of my most popular crochet patterns so I wanted to design another dish collections that people loved just as much.
The picot single crochet is one of my favorite crochet stitches because it creates the most beautiful, bumpy texture! I knew this stitch would work amazingly for a dishcloth as not only are the bumpy stitches fun and pretty, they’re also very functional for cleaning and scrubbing!
If you’re familiar with my crochet designs, you know I love this crochet stitch and try to use it any pattern, so naturally a dishcloth using it had to happen!

Yarn
I used 2 different brands of cotton yarn for my Dotty Dishcloths.
The brown cloth is Lily Sugar n’ Cream in the color Jute. It’s a thicker and stiffer cotton yarn but it works great for clean surfaces and dishes. Lily Sugar n’ Cream comes in a variety of colors and it can be found in many stores and online. Similar cotton yarns are Crafter’s Secret Cotton and Peaches n’ Creme.
The white and teal cloths are I Love This Cotton in White and Aqua. I Love This Cotton is a thinner and softer cotton yarn. I like it for cloths are it’s gentle enough to use on your face/skin but still works great for washing dishes/surfaces. I Love This Cotton also comes in a variety of wonderful color options. A similar yarn to ILTC is Dishie cotton yarn.
